The first ten blankets are packaged up and on their way to the post office today! I’m so excited about these blankets going out. After we finished them, we prayed over them specifically that the children that received them would know and feel the love of God their Father and know that he is always their protector! We sewed a tag into each blanket with our logo and Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with His feathers and under his wings you will find refuge.”

I can’t wait for the kids to get the blankets!! This first round of blankets will be sent to Casa de Paz Orphanage in Mexico. Please contact me if you’re interested in supporting Casa de Paz, and I will give you the information you need!

The Stockpile

At Labor of Love, we have been collecting home, health and beauty items to give to ministries in need of those items. I looked in our stockpile cabinet this morning and we’re running out of space. That can only mean one thing – it’s time to give it away!

We have a couple of places in mind for this time, but we’re looking for more ministries in the Austin area to bless as we re-grow our stockpile. In the future we will also be adding baby products as well as some grocery related items. Let us know in the comments for this post if there’s any ministry in our area that you know would benifit from these items, or if you have items you would like to donate.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Stack of Fabric

Our first project is here! We had a generous fabric donation from Jeaneen of Yatta Bags. She donated yards and yards of really sweet baby printed flannels. We’ll be cutting the fabric into baby blanket size and serging the edges to create lightweight blankets. The flannel is perfect for the cool tropical evenings in Ghana, West Africa where we will be sending some of the blankets. We will also be sending some to an orphanage in Mexico. Thank you, Jeaneen for the fabrics, and thank you to everyone else for your thoughts, prayers, and support.

John 3:16-17

"For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life. Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
